Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe: Bollyhop Dance Workshop

Are you ready for another fun-filled workshop taught by Ria Otwani? She will be teaching to the classic song from Dil Chahta Hai: Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe! 

This workshop is a special one because for her birthday month, she is donating 100% OF ALL TICKET PROCEEDS to supporting women! Feel free to see the list of organizations below:

• Sarah’s Circle: This local organization specifically focuses on unhoused women in the Chicago area with gender-sensitive and trauma-informed care, with the message that “women become homeless for different reasons than men”.

• Apna Ghar: Through combining services for survivors, advocacy, and community outreach, Apna Ghar focuses on immigrant women to end gender violence.

• Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund: WPHF helps fund women peacebuilders, humanitarians, and human rights defenders who are responding to crises and building peace in their communities.

About SQB: Shakti Queen Beats is a Chicago-based dance company and brand, offering services including performances, event choreography, and classes. Since our launch in the beginning of 2019, we have built a foundation for teaching Indian dance with Western influences to achieve our vision of a larger dance community that blends both cultures.
